WATER SENSITIVE URBAN DESIGN OFFICER

About the Role
As a member of Council’s Environment and Sustainability department this role is responsible for ensuing compliance with Water Sensitive Urban Design planning and implementation to meet statutory requirements. The role will have a strong engagement and education focus working with staff, developers, contractors and other agency staff such as Melbourne Water and Catchment Management Authorities to build capacity in WSUD principles and practices.
This role is a two (2) year fixed term, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $81.9K to $89.1K (Band 6) plus super.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications in natural resource management, engineering or similar related area, experience and knowledge in WSUD practices, project management skills, demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation, excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to a variety of customers both internally and external to the organisation.
