Statutory Town Planner - Band 5 Temporary 10 month opportunity

About the Opportunity
We are looking for an up and comer wanting to expand their statutory planning knowledge working with a hand picked team of professionals who are willing to share their learned knowledge and support your growth.
As a Band 5 Statutory Town Planner at Mitchell Shire we recognize that you may be newly stepping into the planning space or are seeking a positive change and therefore you will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of planning applications, while also being supported to hone in on your knowledge and skills.
You would be part of a team who includes all staff, listens and progressing towards new ways to help strengthen the team and the quality of the work produced.
The role includes reviewing planning applications, drafting recommendations, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, assist in providing quality advise to the community, senior officers, and supporting the community with planning services.
This role is a temporary 10 month (approximate), full-time opportunity with a monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $90.1K to $102.1K (Band 5) plus superannuation.
About You
You have an aptitude to learn, a friendly and willing attitude to assist all, and desire to learning both urban and rural planning issues.
You have or are working towards formal planning qualifications and willing to come into and working from a great office environment, that also offers flexibility to work from home.
