Emergency Management Resilience Officer - Casual

About the Opportunity
The Mitchell Shire Safer Communities Project will see the development of Community Emergency Management Plans and the delivery of resilience building initiatives in high fire risk communities.
This project aims to gain a better understanding of the communities level preparedness, knowledge of emergency planning and response capacity through various engagement activities and work on ways to increase their level of preparedness
The project takes a ‘community led’ approach by establishing working groups consisting of influential community leaders to ensure community needs are properly understood.
This role is a casual opportunity, with the hourly rate beginning at $57.94 (Band 6) plus superannuation.
About You
Do you have a passion for Emergency Management and working with community?
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sound understanding of emergency management preparedness with particular community engagement qualities.
You will build strong and effective partnerships with community groups, service providers and other stakeholders to deliver community led emergency preparedness initiatives including the development of Community Emergency Management Plans.
