About the Opportunity

Step into the role of Communications Advisor and spend your days crafting compelling stories and strategic communications that resonate with our vibrant community. In this key position, you’ll develop and implement communication strategies that enhance public awareness and engagement with council services and initiatives. You will manage our media relations, creating content for various platforms, from press releases and social media posts to newsletters and digital campaigns. This role offers the chance to truly influence and engage a growing audience, making a tangible impact every day. If you love blending creativity with strategic thinking, this role is for you!

This role is permanent, full-time with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $88.9K to $96.7K (Band 6) plus superannuation.

About You

Are you a dynamic and proactive communicator with a flair for storytelling? We are looking for someone with a solid background in media relations or communications, who can think on their feet and engage various audiences effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing successful communication campaigns and a strong understanding of digital content strategies. You should be comfortable with multi-tasking and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and social media management tools is highly desirable. A degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism is preferred.
