About the Opportunity

As an Asset Protection Officer, you'll play a key role in enforcing local laws and ensuring compliance with the Local Government Act, regulations, and council policies. Your work will help protect community assets and maintain a safe, well-regulated environment.In this role, you will identify and investigate non-compliance on council-owned land, respond to complaints and issue warnings, cautions, infringements, or notices and enforce parking regulations and road rules as required

This role is a temporary, full-time opportunity for 12 months. With the option of a Fortnightly RDO or Monthly ADO, Remuneration begins at $74K to $84K (Band 5) plus superannuation.

About You

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual with a passion for compliance and excellent interpersonal skills. With a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, you will enjoy working outdoors, engaging with the community, and ensuring local laws and regulations are upheld.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, the ability to handle complex situations with diplomacy, and experience in regulatory enforcement. You will possess investigation skills, including gathering and presenting evidence for court proceedings, and have a sound understanding of local laws.
