About the Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role within Council’s Property function, responsible for shaping how we plan, manage and optimise our property portfolio to support a growing community.
As Property Coordinator, you will provide strategic leadership and expert guidance across all aspects of Council’s property management responsibilities. You will lead high-value and complex property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and licences, while ensuring strong governance, legislative compliance and value for money outcomes.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will influence decision-making on complex property matters and provide trusted advice that supports Council’s long-term growth, service delivery and financial sustainability.
You will also play a key role in developing and delivering strategic property programs, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening frameworks, systems and processes that enhance the performance and maturity of Council’s property portfolio.
Leading the Property Services team, you will foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing culture, while building capability and aligning priorities to achieve organisational outcomes.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $122.5K to $137K (Band 8) plus superannuation

About You
You are a strategic and commercially astute property professional with extensive experience managing complex property portfolios and delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
You bring:
- Demonstrated experience in strategic property management, including leading complex projects, transactions and initiatives with significant organisational and community impact
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and governance frameworks related to land acquisition, leasing, disposal and land administration
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and achieve balanced commercial, legal and community outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
- Highly developed capability to provide strategic advice and influence senior decision-making on complex property matters
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams, government agencies, developers and the community
- Strong leadership experience, with a track record of developing people, leading change and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
You are confident working in complex and politically sensitive environments, able to exercise sound judgement and navigate competing priorities to achieve practical, well-informed outcomes. You bring a proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for delivering value to the organisation and the community.
