About the Opportunity

The Plant Operator Leading Hand position offers the opportunity to lead road maintenance operations across Mitchell Shire while providing specialist plant operating expertise and mentoring team members in the safe operation of heavy earthmoving equipment. You'll play a key role in strengthening our Roads Maintenance team's capability to deliver high-quality infrastructure maintenance that directly serve our growing community.

This role is a permanent opportunity with a weekly RDO. Remuneration begins at $76.2K to $79.6K pa (Band 4) plus superannuation.

About You

We're looking for an experienced plant operator who's ready to step into a leadership role and make a real difference in road maintenance across Mitchell Shire. You'll be someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys sharing your expertise with others.

The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, and trucks, along with the ability to prioritise work and lead small teams effectively.
