The next, you could be collaborating with stakeholders, managing budgets, or planning new programs and facility initiatives that respond to community needs.

Key responsibilities include:
▪ Leading and supporting a high-performing team across multiple leisure facilities
▪ Managing operational performance, budgets and financial outcomes
▪ Driving service improvements, innovation and participation growth
▪ Overseeing safe and compliant facility operations aligned with legislative requirements
▪ Developing business plans and contributing to strategic planning outcomes
▪ Building strong relationships with community groups, partners and stakeholders
▪ Identifying opportunities to improve programs, services and facility performance
This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity and includes a monthly ADO. The position is classified at Band 8A ($119.2K) plus superannuation and full private use of a Council vehicle.
About You
You are a collaborative and capable leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. You bring strong operational experience together with strategic thinking and a passion for delivering services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
You will thrive in this role if you have:
▪ Experience managing aquatic, leisure or recreation facilities, ideally across multiple sites
▪ Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams
▪ Sound financial management and budgeting experience
▪ Project management capability, including contractor and procurement oversight
▪ Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
▪ The ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
▪ A commitment to safe, inclusive and customer-focused service delivery
