About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join Council’s experienced and close-knit Immunisation Team, delivering vital immunisation services to the local community.

Starting the work day from Broadford, you’ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for the safe preparation, transport and administration of vaccines across multiple community locations. This is a varied, hands-on role—no two days are the same—combining clinical expertise with strong customer service, accurate documentation and best-practice.

You’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality immunisation services under the National Immunisation Program (NIP), while supporting community confidence through clear communication and professional care.

This is a casual position, offering flexibility and variety, with remuneration of $72.11 per hour (Year 1) plus superannuation.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience participating in Local Government immunisation programs. To succeed in this role, you must be motivated, adaptable, and collaborative, with a strong understanding of the National Immunisation Program (NIP), vaccine administration, and community health priorities.

Essential qualifications include certification as a Nurse Immuniser, along with current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis certifications. A thorough understanding of the Cold Chain process is also required, including the ability to identify, mitigate, and report any adverse findings to ensure vaccine integrity and safety.
