About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-established role, following the retirement of a long-standing team member who has built strong systems, relationships and capability across Council.

As ICT Coordinator, no two days will look the same. One day you might be working with your team to resolve service desk priorities or improve user experience, and the next you could be leading technology projects, strengthening cybersecurity, or exploring new systems to support how we work.

You’ll lead a capable ICT team and oversee the day-to-day delivery of Council’s technology environment—covering infrastructure, networks, telephony, devices, Microsoft 365, and corporate systems—while also driving continuous improvement and innovation.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and support a high-performing ICT team delivering responsive, customer-focused services
• Oversee ICT operations including infrastructure, systems, networks, devices and service desk
• Strengthen cybersecurity, risk management and disaster recovery capability
• Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 and corporate applications
• Deliver technology projects and initiatives aligned to Council’s strategic direction
• Manage vendors, procurement processes and ICT budgets
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and provide clear, practical advice

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO.

The total remuneration package on offer for this opportunity is $119.2K to $133.3K (Band 8) plus superannuation.

About You

You’re a practical and approachable ICT leader who enjoys working across both strategy and day-to-day operations. You’re confident supporting your team, solving problems and working with people across the organisation to get the best outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading ICT functions, teams or complex environments
• Strong technical knowledge across infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and systems
• Experience delivering technology projects and driving continuous improvement
• The ability to translate technical concepts into clear, plain English
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to customer service
