About the Opportunity
As a Business Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Operations and Assets department across Facilities Management, fleet and infrastructure activities.
Reporting to the Business Services Team Leader, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders while coordinating maintenance requests, procurement activities and contract administration for Council facilities and assets in a timely and efficient manner.
From time to time, you may also be required to undertake site visits to support the assessment and understanding of maintenance works.
This role is a permanent, part-time opportunity (53.20 hours per fortnight) with remuneration beginning at $51.3K (Band 4) plus superannuation.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive professional with experience in facilities maintenance coordination, procurement support and contractor administration. They will bring strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
They will communicate confidently with contractors, staff and community members, be comfortable working across corporate systems, and apply sound judgement to support maintenance operations and service delivery outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following strengths:
- Relevant experience in facilities and asset maintenance coordination
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service, supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong administrative capability, including experience using software systems related to finance, maintenance requests and business processes
