About the Opportunity

Mitchell Shire Council has been working hard in its quest to deliver a quality asset management system that supports the infrastructure and services our community depends on everyday. As the Asset Services Coordinator you will lead the next phase of our asset management improvement action plan. Supported by your immediate asset team, you will also have the opportunity to work directly with Council's Coordinators for Asset Renewal, Facilities Management, Parks and Roads who you will join as part of our departmental leadership team. Your influence will extend across the organisation as you develop governance and leadership models to support all asset managers and service providers across the organisation, to implement a corporate asset management system. You will provide your asset team leadership and support to deliver "business as usual" tasks while constantly looking to make process improvements. As Coordinator you will be expected to lead the development of new initiatives, improvement processes, strategic work and good governance.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a monthly ADO.

Remuneration for this role begins at $122.5K (Band 8) plus superannuation.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering great outcomes and enjoys working collaboratively with others.

You will be an experienced leader and asset management professional, having worked in a senior position in an asset intensive organisation; local government experience being highly desirable. You will have a clear understanding of the regulatory environment that Mitchell Shire works in, and have excellent knowledge of the Victorian local government asset management sector. You will be very experienced in the application of software and its role in data management. Your experience will also reflect your ability to establish good asset governance, including risk and financial management. Your ability to to lead and support people will also be a strength you possess as part of fostering teams and getting the best out of people.
