About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for the delivery of Council's Life Stages Plan and a range of other strategic policies and projects in the areas of public health planning, gender equity, community and youth development, health and social well-being. 

As the Coordinator of Community Development and Youth Services, you will be a member of Council Senior Leadership Team. You will work closely with the community, partner agencies and other Council departments to deliver an integrated and cohesive approach to reducing and addressing disadvantage and improving diversity and equity within the Mitchell community.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO.The total remuneration package begins at $139K (Band 8) including superannuation and Full Private use of Council Vehicle. 

About You

To be successful in this role your skills and experience will include:

  • A proven track record leading productive and harmonious teams
  • Experience in policy and strategy development, project planning and delivery
  • Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with youth and community wellbeing stakeholders
  • Hold a Tertiary qualifications in Public Health, Community Development, Social Policy, or related fields.
