About the Role

As part the Environment and Sustainability department, the Waste and Resource Recovery Services Officer will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of several key projects and programs for the Waste and Resource Recovery unit.

The role will also support the Waste and Resource Recovery Business Services Coordinator to deliver the activities outlined in the Council Plan and key Waste and Resource Recovery policies and strategies, and to assist with planning for waste and resource recovery services into the future to ensure that they are robust and well informed.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $81.9K to $89.1K (Band 6) plus super.

What we’re looking for 

We are looking for someone who possess a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related discipline or relevant industry experience. Someone who prides themselves on providing exceptional customer service alongside the ability to manage and deliver programs and projects that relate to waste and resource recovery service delivery.

You will possess the knowledge and understanding of relevant state government legislation, regulations and policies and other programs and initiatives relating to waste and resource recovery and have experience in data collection and management.
