About the Role

This is a newly created position within the Strategic Planning and Economy Team. The aims of this role include:

  • Ensuring that Development Contribution Plans (DCPs) and Infrastructure Contribution Plans (ICPs) are administered and implemented in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Overseeing the forecasting of cashflows to inform strategic planning, infrastructure agreements and Council’s capital works program.
  • Ensuring proposals for infrastructure delivery as works in kind are consistent with current ICPs, and are appropriately formalised, and
  • Liaising with different stakeholders such as developers, planning consultants, solicitors and State government agencies.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. The total remuneration package begins at $132K (Band 8) which includes superannuation and the option of a private use vehicle.

What we’re looking for 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Possess a tertiary qualification and substantial experience in accounting, engineering, town planning or another related field to development contributions.
  • Has substantial knowledge of planning and subdivision legislation, particularly as it applies to development contributions.
  • Experience in the preparation and implementation of the development contribution plans.
  • Proven experience in project management and in leading multi-disciplinary planning projects.
  • Experience in motivating, developing and mentoring staff. 
  • Excellent communication and well-developed report writing skills.
