About the Opportunity

The Accounts Receivable Officer works with all areas of the organisation to provide a customer-focused finance services that delivers innovative solutions and aims to improve practices.

This role is responsible for:

  • Managing the invoicing and collection of Council's sundry debts
  • Sundry debtor system maintenance
  • Balance the sundry debtor’s subsidiary ledger to the general ledger
  • Produce sundry debtor financial reports and transaction data as required
  • Draft appropriate correspondence in respect of sundry debtor matters
  • Manage account collection activities
  • Produce and analyse reports on outstanding debts in all applications
  • Monthly and quarterly reports for inclusion as part of Management Reporting
  • Responsible for the processing of end of month and end of year task relating to accounts receivable functions.

This role is a temporary (12 month), fulltime opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $69K to $79K (Band 5) plus superannuation.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have the following experience/attributes:

  • Relevant degree or diploma and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical abilities.
  • Be capable of working independently and with high attention to detail
  • Ensure processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Extensive use of computers and database maintenance.
  • People focused and outcomes driven and be able to work with enthusiasm and in a positive manner.
